Hi, We’re
Choreograph
We’re on a mission to transform the media ecosystem.
| We’re endlessly curious. We are thinkers, builders, and creators — but most of all we are problem solvers. We scrap the old industry rationale and ask the questions that nobody’s asking. We partner with our clients and help them dig into their data. We do this responsibly and with the latest tools and methodologies. We solve the problems our clients don’t know they have. And we don’t stop until they see results.
Meet the team
Evan Hanlon
Evan Hanlon is the CEO of Choreograph, and serves on the GroupM Global Leadership Team. With a background rooted in creative strategy, he firmly believes that the path to creative transformation starts with a fundamental shift in data and technology. His mission is to bring Choreograph products and thinking to visionary brands that are ready to take bold risks.
In his most recent leadership role, he served as the Global Client Lead at The Pharm, a multidisciplinary agency exclusively dedicated to the Walgreens Boots business within the WPP network. In that role, he had a front-row seat to witness the power of Choreograph’s technology. He began his WPP career at Xaxis in 2011, as the founding member of the audience strategy department, and has successful leadership turns at GroupM, [m]PLATFORM, and Essence, where he built up a product mindset and organization, serving as Global Chief Product Officer.
Hanlon is a serial hobbyist. His most recent pursuit is pottery, but he’s been a lifelong creative doer as a writer, filmmaker, skateboarder, and budding punk rock guitarist. He’s a native of Long Island, New York and resides in Brooklyn.

After overseeing GroupM’s Global Social division, where she oversaw $5 billion in media spend, she brought her deep partnerships experience to Choreograph. With a deep understanding of all things digital, Amanda has driven product innovation with key partners, and led industry education and best practices around activation. Operationally, she has developed advanced and adaptive curriculums within agencies, markets, regions, and globally, building industry-leading structural rigor around platform access and risk regulation.
Prior to her global remit, Amanda lead the social practice in North America, and established GroupM’s social operations framework in the APAC region from Singapore.
Amanda sits on various product panels and counsels with top digital platforms, helping to shape the future of product and advertising for the industry and WPP and GroupM clients.
Brett Poole
Brett Poole is EVP, Product and Managing Director for the APAC region at Choreograph. In this role, he leads data strategy and product development in the region. Brett has spent the last two decades at the intersection of advertising, tech, and media; launching and building profitable, pioneering businesses. Most recently, Brett served as CEO of the APAC region for Finecast, GroupM’s addressable TV company.
Brett Poole’s career began at the turn of the millennium, as a product manager at an adtech company, followed by an eight-year stretch at Yahoo!, where he ascended from PM to Director of their Platforms division. In this role, Brett managed strategic partnerships, acquisitions, integrations and other developments. From there, Brett satisfied an entrepreneurial urge, co-founding a content management software company and an independent digital consultancy. These experiences led him back into the agency world, with several roles within the GroupM network.
Outside of work you’ll find Brett on the sidelines of a field or swimming pool, cheering on his kids in their many (many!) sporting activities. He is a keen runner, loves the cinema, and has a passion for golf that some say far outstrips his skill. He lives with his wife and girls in Sydney, Australia.
Alex Steer
Alex Steer is Choreograph’s Global Chief Data Officer. He leads Choreograph’s data and analytics strategy, including its approach to using and managing data, and the development of client solutions.
Alex joined WPP in 2009 and has held data, analytics and strategy roles across the company, including at Ogilvy, Kantar, Wavemaker, Wunderman Thompson and most recently VML, where he was Global Chief Data Officer. In that time he led some of WPP’s largest and most advanced data and analytics teams, working with some of its biggest clients to turn data into a strategic asset and enhance marketing effectiveness.
Alex specializes in applying analytical methods to automate marketing decisions — including where to find growth, how to define audiences, how to allocate budgets, how to plan campaigns and how to optimize delivery. In 2022 he completed a postgraduate degree in Artificial Intelligence for Business at the Said Business School at Oxford University, on how to use AI to give advertisers an information advantage in online ad auctions.
At Choreograph, Alex is focused on ensuring that the company’s solutions combine the sophistication, standards, and scale needed to transform marketing for the world’s most ambitious brands: by connecting them to the world’s best data, activating that data through tech and AI, and delivering measurably more effective marketing.
Before he was a data nerd, Alex was a word nerd: he has an M.Phil. in medieval literature and began his career as a lexicographer on the Oxford English Dictionary. Outside work, he can normally be found buying books on obscure topics, and trying to find creative ways to fit them in his house.
